Abstract: The dynamics of endogenous hormones in softwood cuttings of rabbiteye blueberry (Vaccinium ashei Reade) cultivar‘Powderblue’, treated by five levels of indolebutyric acid(IBA) (0, 3000, 5000, 7000 and 9000 mg/L) were studied during adventitious root formation. The results showed that exogenous IBA increased the rooting ability of softwood cuttings of rabbiteye blueberry. Suitable levels of endogenous IAA and IAA/GA were beneficial to the formation of callus tissue and root primordium, and endogenous GA at higher level inhibited formation of adventitious root in cuttings. The function of endogenous ZT and IAA/ZT were different during different cutting periods. Low level of endogenous ZT and high level of IAA/ZT promoted differentiation and formation of root primordium during the formation of callus tissue and root primordium stage. High level of endogenous ZT and low level of IAA/ZT favored the elongation and growth of adventitious roots in cuttings. The changes of ABA and IAA/ABA were not obvious.
