Studies on Field Sowing Practice and the Cultivation Technology of Strong Root and Seedling of Phoebe bournei

Abstract: In order to research technical issues of field sowing practice and the cultivation technology of strong root and seedling of Phoebe bournei, field sowing seedlings of Phoebe bournei were studied. Technologies of root- cutting and rooting and propagation agents were used to study and compare these targets on seedling height, ground diameter and the number of lateral roots of Phoebe bournei. The results showed that: the seedling height, ground diameter, the number of lateral roots whose length were greater than 3 cm, lateral root length of root- cutting seedlings were clearly better than intact roots. Different concentration rooting and propagation agents were set to spray foliage of seedlings. There was an extremely significant difference in average root length, seedling height, ground diameter and the number of roots whose length were greater than 3 cm under various treatments. The optimum concentration agents were 1000 times diluents, which could make the number of lateral roots increase by more than 50%, lateral root length increase by more than 20%, seedling height increase by more than 30%, ground diameter increase by more than 20%, compared with CK.
