Abstract: In order to study the action of extract from Acorus gramineus against Nilaparvata lugens, the contact toxicity, oviposition deterrent, fumigant toxicity and growth and development inhibited effect of A. gramineus extract to N. lugens were studied. The results showed that after being treated with the extract 4.6μg/head 48 hours, the corrected mortality was 86.11% . 10 mg/mL A. gramineus extract showed 79.90% oviposition deterrent rate to N. lugens. The concentration of 100μL/L showed 73.98% mortality after being treated 30 minutes. The effect to the parameters of growth and development was not significant. We can draw the conclusion that the extract had significant contact, oviposition deterrent and fumigant effect against N. lugens, while had little effect to its growth and development.
