The Comprehensive Evaluation of Soil Fertility Status for Tobacco-growing Areas in Wuhu City, Anhui Province

Abstract: The objective of this study was to explore the spatial variability of soil fertility quality, so the method of Fuzzy was used to analyze the contention of soil fertility in the tobacco base in Sanyuan Town of Wuhu City. Seven indicators were selected: pH, organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, rapidly available phosphorus, rapidly available potassium, and available potassium. It can be concluded that the IFI of 56.4% soil samples reached the highest level, and the average value was 0.86. The percent of the higher and middle level of soil samples were both 12.7%. Correspond, the average value of IFI were 0.70 and 0.58. The both level can satisfied the fertility need of tobacco. 18.2% of soil samples were in the lowest level, and the average value was 0.52. The situation of fertility should be improved in order to increase the amount and quality of tobacco.
