Study on the Material Metabolism Level of 2 Ningxia Wolfberry New Species

Abstract: In order to reveal the physiological and biochemical mechanism on buds of Ningxia wolfberry new species-‘Ningqi 6’and‘Ningqi 8’, the authors compared the main material variation characteristics of different developmental stage of buds, including soluble sugar, free praline, total free amino acids, soluble protein. The results showed that the contents of soluble sugar, free praline, soluble protein of‘Ningqi 6’were higher than that of‘Ningqi 8’, the contents of total free amino acids of‘Ningqi 6’were lower than that of‘Ningqi 8’. The changes of soluble sugar, total free amino acids, free proline of different developmental stage of buds were different between‘Ningqi 6’and‘Ningqi 8’; soluble protein changes of different developmental stage of buds were same between‘Ningqi 6’and‘Ningqi 8’. After tetrad stage, soluble protein metabolism in‘Ningqi 6’was more active. Soluble protein metabolic abnormalities may result in fewer flower and slow metabolism in‘Ningqi 8’.
