Abstract: In order to enhance the comprehensive utilization of cotton by- products to improve economic benefits, two methods of extraction and saponification of Vitamin E were studied to explore the technological process, to identify the best method and influencing factors of the vitamin E extraction on cottonseed oil. The optimum extraction methods were concluded as follows: 300 ml of alcohol, 1min of extraction duration, 4 g of NaOH, 1 h of saponification, and the ranking of influencing factors was alcohol concentration＞ extraction duration ＞ NaOH concentration ＞ aponification duration. This method was an effective way for the extraction of cottonseed oil Vitamin E, which could reach an extraction rate of 96.6%, and was easy, efficient and environment-friendly in application.
