Abstract: Straw returning to soil can improve the comprehensive utilization of straw, and is one of the effective methods to improve the soil fertility. It has become an important part of sustainable agriculture and ecological agriculture, and plays a vital role. The slow decomposing after the straw returning to soil could limit a wide promotion of the technology. Therefore, developing straw degradation bacteria to increase the degradation rate of straw fiber and improve straw decomposing efficiency has become the key of the technology. The paper summarized the research progress of low temperature microorganisms, straw degradation bacteria at low temperature, and the effect of degrading bacteria application on soil nutrient, soil enzyme activity and the microbial diversity.
