Abstract: In order to define the effects of the 1,3-dichloro acrylic blended with chloropicrin on soil microbial quantity, the microbial population changing in the soil was studied through laboratory experiment. The results indicted that low dose of actinomycetes (25.78 mg/kg) showed "inhibition-recovery", and the medium and high dose (128.91, 257.81, 1289.06 mg/kg) were in the form of "inhibition- stimulation", and the rate of activation was 125.36% in the late test (112th day). The trend of bacteria was similar to actinomycetes, but the time of stimulation for bacteria (49th day) was later than that of actinomycetes (14th day), at the same time the high dose was close to the control level in the late test (112th day). There were significant inhibitory effects on Phytophthora spp, Fusarium spp and the culturable fungi after the soil fumigation. But for low dose Phytophthora spp and Fusarium spp on the 49th day and the culturable fungi on the 28th day recovered to a similar level of the controls. While those treated with high dose (1289.06 mg/kg) showed “inhibitionstimulation” and were still in the stimulation in the late test (112th day) with the rate of stimulation being 99.19%, 51.54% and 225.64%, respectively.
