Abstract: The study aims to know the urbanization impact on land use and get a new perspective and theoretical basis for the development of urbanization in Kunming. The SPSS and Grainger test were used for evaluation. The results showed that: firstly, in recent years the development of Kunming entering a stable period, but land development is poor; secondly, the results of Cointegration test showed that variable changes could be caused by another variable change in long term, it meant that there was a long-term stable equilibrium relationship between the urbanization and the land utilization; thirdly, there was no causal relationship between urbanization development and land use in the short term. The level of urbanization was conducive to intensive use of land in long term, but the comprehensive urbanization level was not conducive to intensive use of land in the short term, and a stable relationship had not been formed.
