Abstract: In order to explore the effects of different concentrations of exogenous phenolic acids on branching soybean growth and development, the several indicators were studied on potted soybean by the approach of pot experiment. The results showed that, benzoic and cinnamic acid treatment significantly inhibited the growth and branching of the soybean plant height except vanilla acid treatment. Three acid treatments significantly inhibited the increase in branching soybean leaf area. When the acid concentration was 0.01 g/kg, three kinds of acid treatment increased the number of branches of soybean root nodules. When the acid concentration was greater than or equal to 0.1 g/kg, three acid treatments of soybean nodule number increased inhibition gradually. The influence of three kinds of acid treatment on the shoot ratio of potted branching soybean was different, but the difference was not significant with the control.
