Abstract: In order to achieve the virtual display of rice leaf color on the computer, it needs to build the dynamic simulation model of rice leaf color components RGB with chlorophyll content SPAD values. This article mainly discussed about the main stem leaves of two varieties jy458 and zjz35 AS, which were taken as the research objects. It studied the dynamic variation of SPAD values of two rice varieties with the rice growth process and the relationship between RGB and SPAD; then conducted fitting curve with mapping software Microsoft Excel. The results showed that SPAD values of two varieties increased with the effective accumulated temperature, and there was approximate linear relationship between SPAD and the effective accumulated temperature from turning green to heading stage. Leaf components RGB and SPAD presented linear relationship when SPAD values in the range of 20-50. We obtained the relational model by fitting curve of rice RGB and SPAD values. The model was validated and the average RMSEs were 4.56, 4.73, and 3.55. The results indicate that the present model has highly significant correlation. So the results show the model can describe dynamically the changing process of rice leaf color.
