Effect of Horticulture Therapy in Holistic Integrated Medicine

Abstract: With the increasing differentiation of subject, cross field between subjects gradually increased. In order to promote the development of horticultural therapy and holistic integrated medicine, this paper presented the definition of horticultural therapy and holistic integrated medicine and introduced their effects on human health. Then the article analyzed the effect of plant in promoting human physical and mental health from the aspect of color, fragrance, food therapy and gardening. Effects and functions of horticultural therapy as an auxiliary therapy on concepts of holistic integrated medicine were described. Finally, the author discussed the application prospect of plant in cross field of horticultural therapy and holistic integrated medicine in the future.
