Abstract: In order to study the difference in accumulation and tolerance ability of Cd in wild and cultivated ramie, based on previous studies, the author used wild and cultivated ramie as the research objects, and conducted pot experiment with Fushun ramie,‘Xiangzhu III’ , Lengshuijiang wild ramie and Liuyang wild ramie. The author studied the accumulation and tolerance characteristics of the tested materials in order to lay the foundation for ramie Cd resistant germplasm screening. The results showed that the Cd accumulation coefficient sequence of different organs and Cd contents were the same, under 2 kinds of high concentration treatments, the accumulation coefficients of the aboveground part were less than 1, and decreased with the increase of concentration; the Cd transport coefficients of Fushun ramie, Lengshuijiang wild ramie and ‘Xiangzhu III’were greater than 1, which indicated that they had better ability to transport Cd up. This indicated that ramie had tolerance to Cd and it also had accumulation capacity. As one kind of economic crops, the ramie had the potential to repair the heavy metal pollution.
