Abstract: To discuss the determination of microelement contents in pollens by using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and understand the nutritional value of pollens, contents of 7 kinds of microelements including Ca, Mn, Cu, Fe, Zn, Mo, Se, and 5 kinds of harmful elements including Pb, Cd, Cr, Hg, As were determined from 4 kinds of bee pollens in the markets of Zhejiang. Principal component analysis on contents of the 7 kinds of microelements was conducted using SPSS 18.0 software. The results showed that there were great differences among contents of Ca, Mn, Fe in bee pollens, and the 3 kinds of microelements were suggested to be the mark elements. Content of Pb was a little higher or lower than the limit set in national standard. Contents of Cd, Cr, Hg and As were very low, and their limits needed to be set in national standard.
