Abstract: The techniques of the tissue culture and rapid propagation of Chorophytum bichetii were studied. The quality and the induction rates were higher by optimizing test periods and the mediums. The results showed that the stems and terminal buds as explants could be induced to sterilized shoots. The sterilization rate in March was higher, and the stems and terminal buds were 74.7% and 82.7%. With MS as basic culture medium, different concentrations of plant growth regulator 6-BA and NAA, KT were added to induction, proliferation and rooting. The results indicated that 6-BA 2 mg/L IBA 0.2 mg/L was the suitable medium for explants induction of cluster buds; 6-BA 2 mg/L KT 0.2 mg/L was the best medium for multiplication, and the multiplication coefficient could reach up to 5.1; 1/2MS NAA 0.1 mg/L was the optimizing medium for rooting, and the rooting rate could reach to 100%. The survival rate of young plants was over 99% after they were transplanted in peat and perlite at the ratio of 2:1. Anomaly plants problem in tissue culture of Chorophytum bichetii could be effectively solved by the control of the cytokinin concentration, and throwing off the unhealthy plants. The above results would provide scientific basis for micro propagation of Chorophytum bichetii.
