Abstract: Bast fiber crops are one kind of important economic crops in China. This study aims to solve the problems of increasing market demand for hemp product and ontinuous decrease of bast fiber crops planting area. In the field plot test, the marijuana was taken as previous crop, then jute or kenaf was planted after marijuana harvest. In the planting pattern of marijuana-jute, the total yield of hemp fiber increased by 90.8% and 34.2% respectively, comparing with that of single planting of marijuana and jute. Meanwhile, in the planting pattern of marijuana-kenaf, the total yield of hemp fiber increased by 92.7% and 28.8% respectively, comparing with that of single planting of marijuana and kenaf. Moreover, in the planting pattern of marijuanajute/kenaf, both of the net income and the output to input ratio increased in comparing with that of single planting, the maximum values were obtained around June 20. In comprehensive consideration of the indexes of hemp fiber yield, net income and output to input ratio, etc., the planting pattern of marijuana-jute/kenaf could increase the yield of hemp fiber and improve farmers’economic benefit, thus was worthy of large area application.
