Abstract: To optimize blueberry cultivation mode in cold area, effects of three factors (sulphur application, water- controlled irrigation and fertilization application) on blueberry plant growth in the Greater Khingan Mountains were studied with orthogonal experiment. The results showed that the orthogonal treatments of three factors affected the growth index of blueberry significantly. The obvious variation ranges of growth index appeared in different treatments. There were apparent interactions among the three factors, and little antagonistic effect. The range analysis results showed that the biggest factor for plant height, crown width and length of blueberry shoots was the relative soil moisture content. And the biggest factor for the branch diameter was fertilization. These three factors showed that the optimal growth traits of blueberry were in level 3 or level 4 of each factor. Combined with the change of the growth parameters, it was suggested that the best growth condition of blueberry‘blomidon’in the Greater Khingan Mountains was: sulfur content of 70-80 g/m2, potassium sulphate compound fertilizer of 7.5-10 g/plant, and relative water content of soil maintained at 45%-60%.
