Abstract: Effects of ridge height and row width cultivation on soil chemical properties and yield and quality of tobacco leaves were studied by the method of field experiment. The results showed that the content of soil alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen increased significantly by 10% (P=0.1184) by way of ridge height and row width cultivation, which increased the content of soil available potassium, decreased pH value of soil, reduced the content of soil organic matter and had smaller effect on the content of soil available phosphorus. This method could increase the chlorophyll content of flue-cured tobacco, the yield of tobacco leaves was improved significantly by 5% (P=0.0524) and the output value of tobacco leaves was improved significantly by 10% (P=0.0952), while it had small effect on the average price and super ratio of tobacco leaves. This method mainly affected the chemical component of B2F and increased the strength, concentration, aroma quantity, aroma amount and aftertaste of B2F and C3F.
