Abstract: In order to study the influencing factors of homestead exit in multi-national area, farmers in Turks County, Xinjiang were surveyed. And farmers had low, medium and more part-time occupations were divided into three groups. Logistic regression analysis was conducted using SPSS 20.0 to study the influencing factors of homestead exit intention of farmers in different groups. The results showed that the actual demand of different types of farmers was not the same. Family decision-making power of household was not the same with the traditional researches. Characteristics of family structure and homestead had significant effect on farmers’ homestead exit intention and policy awareness needed to be improved. According to the results, the authors put forward suggestions including reasonably responding to the exit needs of different types of farmers’, improving the employment and social security of farmers exiting homestead and strengthening publicity and innovation of homestead exit policy.
