Abstract: In order to explore the difference between medical CT and industrial CT in their application to soil macropore structure scanning, the original state soil sample under bush cinquefoil from Qinghai was scanned by medical CT and industrial CT, the quality of faultage image, three-dimensional image of macropore and macropore structure were analyzed. The results showed that: (1) the quality of industrial CT faultage image was higher than that of medical CT; (2) three-dimensional images of the two kinds of CT treatments were similar, but industrial CT image could reflect the distribution of soil macropore in different soil layers more clearly; (3) the porosity of the two kinds of CT treatment images had the same tendency with the increase of soil depth, but industrial CT could reflect deeper soil porosity more accurately. Appropriate CT treatment could be chosen according to different requirements.
