Abstract: The authors analyzed vegetation change characteristics during degradation succession in floodplain wetlands of the Yellow River Source Zone by geography opography index and phytocoenosium index. The results showed that in terms of the entire degradation succession, floodplain wetland was dominated by Kobresia tibetica at the beginning of succession. With the process of succession, Kobresia tibetica gradually decreased, and weeds and poisonous weeds gradually increased, and played certain roles in floodplain wetland. Plant diversity increased, and plant community structure tended to be complex, species richness was higher and higher.
