Temperature Compensation System for Aquaculture Water Quality Monitoring

Abstract: Accurate aquaculture water quality monitoring is essential to guarantee the health aquatic breeding. To eliminate the effect of temperature on dissolved oxygen sensor and pH sensor, this study focused on temperature compensation. Cubic polynomial fitting method was adopted to conduct temperature compensation analysis of dissolved oxygen electrode, and the least square method was selected to conduct linear analysis of the relationship between pH value and voltage. Finally, temperature compensation models for dissolved oxygen sensor and pH sensor were obtained. The experimental results showed that the average relative error of dissolved oxygen and pH in the temperature compensation system was 1.82% and 1.72%, respectively. The temperature compensation system could meet the requirement of water quality monitoring in aquaculture, and had a brilliant application prospect.
