Design and Experiment of Fluid Dynamic Ultrasonic Water Aerator

Abstract: In order to increase the efficiency of aerator, based on the theory of Venturi and fluid dynamic ultrasonic generator, the inlet pipe segment, throat pipe segment and reed whistle where ultrasonic generated of water aerator were designed. And a preliminary study on the effect of the device on dissolved oxygen was conducted. The results showed that the dissolved oxygen was 7.94 mg/L using the designed device after the aeration process, exceeded the saturation value of dissolved oxygen (7.82 mg/L) at the current water temperature and reached the super saturation. Therefore, the device has a good prospect in wastewater treatment, aquaculture and plant irrigation.
