Abstract: The aim of this paper was to test species composition and distribution of Hymenoptera in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia. Species in Hymenoptera were captured using net and studied systematically in 8 sites in Tongliao from 2010 to 2014. According to the specimens conserved in the inset laboratory of College of Agronomy, Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities, the captured insects were identified and classified into 44 species in 18 families of Hymenoptera. There were 9 species in Ichneumonidae, which was the most, followed by Scoliidae (6 species). Horqin District and Zhalute Banner were rich of Hymenoptera species among the 8 sites, both had 17 species, followed by Kailu County (10 species). Naiman Banner and Holingol had the fewest species (6 species). The results provide basic information for the protection of biodiversity in Tongliao.
