Abstract: The paper aims to analyze the relationship between atmospheric electric field and atmospheric pollutants. With data of synchronization atmospheric electric field, atmospheric pollutants, and meteorological elements of two weather stations in Taiyuan from June 2012 to May 2015, the correlation of atmospheric electric field in sunny days with atmospheric pollutants were analyzed. The results showed that: the correlation between atmospheric electric field and atmospheric particulate matter followed: PM10>PM2.5>PM1.0, and the correlation between PM10 and the atmospheric electric field was significantly larger than PM2.5, PM1.0; the NOx was high in the correlation of atmosphere electric field and gas pollution, followed by O3, CO; the correlation between pollution gases and charged particles decided the relationship between them and atmospheric electric field. Through analysis of the characteristics of atmospheric particulate matter, the paper gave the reasons why atmospheric electric field of Jiancaoping was higher than that of Taoyuan and atmospheric electric field occurred at about 16:00 having a small peak in Taoyuan.
