Impact of Environmental Changes on Climatic Data in Horgos in Xinjiang

Abstract: The paper aims to facilitate for the users to grasp accurately the essence of the climate data information in Horgos, and then reveal the true characteristics and regularity of climate change. Select Huocheng and Yining county meteorological station as the reference station. The data collected at the old site of Horgos station from 1961 to 2014 was used to compare with the data collected during the same period at the reference stations, by used which we analyzed the integrity, regional consistency, and homogeneity of the meteorological data in Horgos. We found that there has a good integrity for the observation data in Horgos. However, there has a worse regional consistency for temperature, precipitation, relative humidity and wind speed, and all of them have some discontinuity points in the data. The analysis result of the same period comparison observation data shows that, there have a better consistency for relative humidity, precipitation and wind speed, and a worse consistency for temperature and wind direction. Significant test results showed that there has a significant difference for the annual and month wind speed, and it cannot be used continuously. The other 5 elements can be used continuously, because of which have been basically passed the significance test. Futher more, the wind speed need to be revised to continuous use in data service.
