Abstract: Increasing the yield of medium and low yield fields represented by salinization has become the main way to improve the production of wheat, which is of great significance for the food security in China. According to the germination rate under 300 mmol/L NaCl stress and the height, root length, root number under 200 mmol/L and 400 mmol/L salt stress, salt tolerance of 21 winter wheat germplasm and hydroponic seedlings selected from different ecological zones were identified, salt tolerance ability was evaluated according to germination rate and plant change in seedling stage of experimental material. The results showed that three first-grade salt-tolerant varieties, three second-grade salt-tolerant varieties and 5 third-grade salt-tolerant varieties were screened out, which enriched the salt tolerance germplasm resource of wheat. Compared with the method of salt pool, the method in this paper had the advantages of small workload and fast speed, and the results were consistent to field performance. The results could provide theoretical and technical support for wheat salt resistance breeding, and increasing wheat yield in saline soil.
