Root-shoot Interaction Mechanism of High Yield and High Efficiency in Rice: Research Progress

Abstract: To fully understand the process and biological mechanism of high yield and high water and nutrient use efficiencies in rice, and shape the canopy and roots of high yield and high efficiency in rice, this article concludes the root morphological and physiological characteristics of high yield and high efficiency in rice, summarizes population quality, matter production characteristics and leaf photosynthesis characteristics of high yield and high efficiency in rice, and analyzes the methods and indicators of root-shoot interaction of high yield and high efficiency in rice. Aiming at the problem of lower water and nutrient use efficiency, this article puts forward the cooperative achievement of high yield and high efficiency in rice through coordinating the mechanism of root- shoot interaction, and looks forward to future research on the root- shoot interaction mechanism of high yield and high efficiency in rice.
