Abstract: Aiming at providing the basis for the development of ratooning rice of our country, the effect of different number of seeds and different amount of fertilizer on the yield and nutrient uptake of plant about ‘Xinliangyou 233’ratooning rice cultivated on the yellow-brown soil in Hubei province were explored. The results were as follows: In both the main crop season and ratoon crop season, the yield of the Z1F2 model was the highest, which was 17.83 kg/plot and 11.36kg/plot, respectively. The amount of fertilizer had much more influence than the number of seeds and the medium-use (F2) fertilizer was the best. Both the amount of fertilizer and number of seeds affected the nutrient uptake of the plant, in a word , the absorption of N, P element had a mutual promotion effect but the absorption of K and N, P element had an opposite effect. According to the effect of different number of seeds and different amount of fertilizer on the yield and nutrient uptake of plant about‘Xinliangyou 233’ratooning rice, the recommended model is the Z1F2 model when cultivated on the yellow-brown soil.
