Abstract: Excessive Cu can lead to different degrees of influence on plant growth, enzyme system balance, cell submicroscopic structure, protein synthesis, nucleic acid metabolism and so on, eventually affect human health and ecosystem balance. Studies show that the exogenous substances can regulate the toxic effects of excessive copper on plants. This paper summarizes and analyzes the regulation mechanism of exogenous silicon (Si), brassinolide (BR), nitric oxide (NO) and other substances on excessive Cu toxicity. However, current researches on the mechanism of ion carrier, proteome, genome, the applicability of exogenous substances to plants and the influence of external conditions, are deficient. Future research can be carried out on these aspects to improve the systematic research of Cu poison in plant.
