Abstract: This paper aims at selecting mechanized harvesting maize varieties with yielding ability and stability. The yielding ability and stability of test maize varieties were analyzed with coefficient of variation (CV), coefficient of regression (b), coefficient of high stability (HSC), AMMI model and safety procedure. 4 parameters, including yield, variation coefficient on ordinal number, high stability index and safety-first index, were the main reference for yielding ability and stability evaluation.‘Yudan 728’,‘Xindan 88’and‘Yudan 871’have better yielding ability and stability, so they are eligible for promotion in suitable areas.
