Comparison of Seven Metallic Elements in Shell from Two Shell Color Strains of Bellamya purificata

Abstract: Seven metallic elements in shell from two shells color strains (purple and cyan) of B. purificata are analyzed by ICP-MS. The results showed that the content of Fe in purple shell was higher than that in cyan shell significantly, while the contents of K, Mg, Mn in cyan shell were higher than that in purple shell. The contents of Na, Sr, Zn had no difference in these two kinds of shells. The content of Fe had negative correlations with the content of K, Mg, Mn in the two color shells and it had no obvious correlation with Sr and Zn, and there were significantly positive correlations between the contents of K, Mg, Mn and Na.
