Effects of 60Co-γ Ray Irradiation on Roegneria Seed Germination

Abstract: To investigate the suitable dose of 60Co-γ ray irradiation for Roegneria, three species of Roegneria (R. kamoji, R. ciliaris, R. japonensis) were used. The mutation treatment contained 8 doses: 0(CK), 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 and 400 Gy. Dose-response equation of germination energy, seedling height, germination index, vigor index was set up by‘Multi-target single-hit’model, and medial lethal dose and lethal dose were estimated by the dose-response equation respectively. The results indicated that there were some differences of medial lethal dose among R. kamoji, R. ciliaris and R. japonensis, their mean values were R. kamoji 69.91- 121.93 Gy, R. ciliaris 143.24 Gy and R. japonensis 172.51-176.81 Gy. This study provides certain references for mutation breeding of Roegneria herbage.
