Abstract: In order to study the changes of various physiological indexes of sweet potato after spraying glyphosate, clarify the effect of glyphosate on the growth of sweet potato ,we use the glyphosate-tolerant sweet potato variety ''N3014'' as the test material, and spray different concentrations of glyphosate, to study the changes of various physiological indexes of sweet potato. The results show: after sprayed glyphosate, the net photosynthetic rate and chlorophyll content of sweet potato leaves decreased, and the greater the concentration of glyphosate sprayed, the more serious the drop. The CAT activity, MDA content and shikimic acid content of leaves increased, and the greater the concentration of glyphosate sprayed, the more obvious the rise.It can be seen that foliar application of glyphosate aggravates the degree of membrane lipid peroxidation in sweet potato leaves, hinders the biosynthesis of aromatic amino acids and aromatic compounds in the shikimate pathway, resulting in increased accumulation of shikimic acid.
