Abstract: Shaan Mian 4080 cotton variants had been selected by Ji232(♀)×CCRI164(♂) in artificial disease nursery of irrigated and no irrigated for consecutive growing. Shaan Mian 4080 cotton has the characteristics with the high yield and quality, the resistant disease to Fusarium and Verticillium, the mid-resistant cotton boll worm and the tolerand drought and salt. The pre-frost lint yield of this variants increased by 39.0% than CCRI19 in 1998～1999 in Shaan xi areas and increased by 23.0% than CCRI12 in 2000～2001 in Huang He areas. The results indicated that Shaan Mian 4080 has extensive applicability, better resistant stress and high potential production.
