Abstract: Early-maturing rice plays an important role in the rice breeding program. The advances about cultivated ways of superior high-yielding,genetic analysis of early-maturing and forecast of heterosis in growth duration are reviewed.The prospect of superior high-yielding early-maturing hybrid rice was also discussed in the paper.The review was expected to be utilized as theoritical basis in the future rice breeding program.
