Abstract: The original forest landscape pattern of Huoditang forest region had been damaged because of cutting down. After 20 years this region had formed a landscape pattern made of natural secondary forests and plantations. Based on class Ⅱ investigation to forest resources of Huoditang forest region in 1988, the landscape fragmentation of this place was studied. The result shows that the fragmentation of natural secondary forests is lower than plantations and main forests is lower than other forests. The growth habit of trees decides the fragmentation under same outside disturb.
