Progress of Research on Theory and Practice for SuperHigh Yield and Quality Improvement in Soybean

Abstract: This paper briefly introduces the current research and development of super high yield and quality improvement in soybean. Some examples of varieties and yield for super high yield and quality improvement in soybean were given. The grain yield of 5610 kg/hm2 of soybean was harvested by using half-short-stalked cultivars and narrow row spacing and condensed planting techniques in USA. The grain yield of 5280 kg/hm2 of soybean Obaimu was harvested in Japan. It was the highest record that the grain yield of 5956.2 kg/hm2 of soybean Xindadou No.1 was harvested in China. The grain yield of soybean Liao21051 was 4908 kg/hm2. The one of soybean Yudou No.25 was 4759.5 kg/hm2. The one of soybean Youchu No.4 was 4878 kg/hm2. The one of soybean MN413 was 4726.2 kg/hm2. Recent years, the breeders had already bred some high protein content above 45%, high oil content above 22% and special varieties. High protein variety Yudou No.24 (45.68%) was of 4267.5 kg/hm2. High oil variety Kennong No.18 (23.98%) was of 4200 kg/hm2. This article introduced the advance plant model “tillage 3”, “same tillage, double rows, condensed planting”, “big tillage, condensed planting”, “plastic film covered in rows” and so on, and summarized the research trends and progress of plant models of high yield in soybean.
