Abstract: We analyzed 6 asparagus agronomic characters and did multiple comparison to the asparagus yield and first-class asparagus spears ratio. The result showed that the important factors of influencing asparagus yield were as followed the stem diameter, the plant height and the number of stem; the important factors of influencing the first-class asparagus spears ration were as followed the stem diameter, the plant height and the yield. The plant height was higher and the yield was higher, at the same time the first-class asparagus spears ratio was also higher. The stem diameter, the plant height and the number of stem constituted the asparagus yield and the quality characteristic. At the same time it was also necessary for selecting the new varieties. We found that the all-male varieties were superior to the others in the yield and the first-class asparagus spears ratio through the multiple comparison of the yield and the first-class asparagus spears ratio. So the selection of the all-male varieties has become the work key.
