Abstract: Observing the growth of introduced cultivars of Leucadendron, Leucospermum and Chamelaucium monthly and recording their phenology, diseases and insects occurrence and behaviors without protection in Kunming at winter time, the results showed that Leucadendron grew fastest in July and stopped growing in November. Leucadendron “Safari Sunset” started to grow earlier and increased more height than Leucadendron “Inca Gold”. With an increase of 5cm per month in height, Leucospermum reached growth peak during July and August, but the total growth was less. Chamelaucium kept growing all the year around. Chamelaucium “Pink Pride” reached growth peak from July to August with an increase of about 20cm per month but Chamelaucium “Purple Pride” did not have growth peak. As far as resistance was concerned, both cultivars of Leucadendron were strongly resistant to diseases, insects and frosts, while different cultivars of Leucospermum showed different resistance. For, Chamelaucium, although both cultivars highly tolerated frosts, “Purple Pride” was much more sensitive to root diseases than “Pink Pride”.
