With the development of economy and the improvement of S&T in China, the government is putting the emphasis on the ownership of self-determining intellectual properties and building the innovative country. To protect the S&T productions with the intellectual property is the important instrument which deepens the reform about the framework of the S&T , promotes the transformation of S&T productions and improves the capacity in connecting the research and market. Strengthening the scientific research units utilize the laws about the intellectual property to protect themselves, plays a key role in forming and developing the industries that own the self-determining intellectual properties. The paper introduces the state of protecting S&T productions of the main developed countries in the world, recounting the significance of protecting S&T productions for China. Through combining the facts of China, by gaining the illumination from the actions of protecting S&T productions of main developed countries, then give four pieces of advice for reference.
