Abstract: The survival rates and health situation of common gloxinia transplants in 5 matrixes were investigated. The results indicated that pine needle earth with loose texture, better moisture and nutrient retention, rich organic materials is proper matrix which benefits to the growth of common gloxinia, the survival rate reached 91.7%; pine needle earth and the vermiculite at rate of 1: 1 is second good choice, the survival rate was 80%; peat and the river sand at rate of 1: 1 is not good for culture of common gloxinia transplants, the survival rate under this matrix was only 57%.
