Abstract: Combined with the flue-cured tobacco seeding-condition of Southern Hunan Autonomous Prefecture, designed the experiment with four experimental treatments: normal-matrix seedling growing with float system、sand-matrix seedling growing with float system、normal-matrix seedling nursing in shallow water、sand-matrix seedling nursing in shallow water. Experimental results show that four treatments’s emergence rate of seedlings are over 90%.They have no significant difference. The seedling cost is respectively 88.46yuan/mu、86.22yuan/mu、 84.46yuan/mu、83.26yuan/mu. The emerging time of the sand-matrix seedling growing delay 4-6d compared with the normal-matrix seedling growing. And the proportion of the spiral root is different between them. The proportion of the sand-matrix seedling growings are 57.6%and 35.8%, while the normal-matrix seedling growing’s is only 0.5%. The quality of seedling of the normal-matrix seedling growing is better than the sand-matrix seedling growing. The weights per disc of them are 1.6KG/disc and 6.2KG. It is more difficult for people to transport in mountain area when the weight is high. Through the comprehensive comparison, the technique of sand-matrix seedling growing is disagree to popularize and apply in Southern Hunan Autonomous Prefecture tobacco area.
