Abstract: Village self-government and the revival of clan are both two big things which took place in Chinas vast rural community two big things since the 1980s,though all occurred in the rural community, but from the state and society research framework, they have essentially different. In this paper, like that at the national and social studies under the framework of these two almost simultaneous events a comparative study, this study will enrich our democratic politics, such as for rural governance, rural grassroots organizations, rural modernization, the burden on farmers, such as a series of rural issues.’’’
