Abstract:

Purpose:The present paper explored the changes in yield and quality of Pinellia ternate with different ratio of NPK fertilizers. Methods:The fertilizer response was detected by using the 3414 design. Content of polysaccharide and water-soluble protein were measured by Sulfuric acid-anthrone colorimetric method and Bradford Protein Assay Kit. Results: The appropriate level of NPK fertilizers increased yield of P. ternate by 22.1%(N1),19.8%(P2) and37.0%(K2) respectively as well as the amount of water-soluble protein and polysaccharide in P. ternate’s tube. Conclusion: On the experimental conditions, the recommended economical nitrogen rate is 4.67g/pot. Besides, neither potassium nor phosphorus are recommended to fertilize due to their high contents in the potting soil.
