Abstract:
Cadmium, as one of unnecessary elements for plant growth, is toxic and easier to absorb and it can accumulate in rice to harm human and animal health through the food chain. Based on literatures,the poisonous effect of cadmium on Oryza sativa were summarized, absorption, distribution, translocation and accumulation of cadmium in rice plants were reviewed, the remediations to alleviate the poisonous effect presently were discussed.
