Abstract:

In order to understand effects of pendimethalin application in different temperature and soil moisture content on cotton seedling’s biological characteristics in special climate conditions of Xinjiang, the ‘Xinluzao44’ was used as the planting materials, using pot experiment. The results showed that: in different temperature treatments, the application of pendimethalin had a significant inhibitory on cotton sprout, when the temperature below 15℃, and there were different influences on cotton seedling growth when the temperature above 20℃. In different treatments, the application of Pendimethalin could inhibit the lateral root increase no matter the soil moisture content was too high or too low, while root growth had the opposite trend with lateral root.
