Abstract:
In order to stabilize and develop cotton production, improve the fiber quality and satisfy the diversification of textiles industrial, the fiber quality data of cotton samples, which was of 10 maincotton producing area of Hebei Province were taken as the research target with grid spot method in this paper. The distributions of eight fiber quality characters including length, strength, length uniformity, micronaire, etc, were analyzed. It indicated that the cotton fiber length mainly ranged from 26.44 mm to 33.68 mm, the fiber uniformity index ranged from 82% to 84%, fiber strength ranged from 23.0 cN/tex to 32.9 cN/tex, micronaire ranged from 3.31 to 6.12, fiber elongation percentage ranged from 6.0% to 6.9%, and the spinning index ranged from 106.0 to 169.0. Which showed it could satisfy the need of the spinning industry for middle and low spinning. The fiber quality of Hebei was above average levels throughout the country. But these problems was solved by reinforcing macroscopical adjustment, breeding of new cotton varieties, improving the culture of cotton, optimizing the planting distribution, and exploited areas and ecological advantages to the full.
