Abstract:

Understanding influence of fluoride from electrolytic aluminum factory on the crops. Fluorine contents in crops around an electrolytic aluminum factory in Kaili were monitored by a fluoride ion selective electrode method and its pollution level was analyzed. The results showed that the highest, the lowest and the average content of fluorine in crops was 163.33 mg/kg, 16.73 mg/kg, 51.09 mg/kg respectively. The fluorine pollution status in crops were all higher than the value of the national standard and the crops were polluted severely. The ability to absorb and enrich fluoride differed in different species. The enrichment of fluoride was different in different organ of crops and the leaf has stronger ability to absorb fluoride. There were severe fluorine pollution for all crops in different districts around electrolytic aluminum factory. The pollution level was clozely related to the distance between the sampling plots and the aluminum factory and the more severe fluorine pollution, the more near distance.
