Abstract:
In order to make up the gaps of study in the drought resistance of greening climbing plants and provide climbing plants with excellent drought resistance for landscape greening, physiological response to drought stress of 13 excellent greening climbing plants, which were sieved from 54 species of 27 families in the resource repository, was studied in the test, using the indexes of leaf water retention, soluble sugar content and free proline content. The results showed that the difference of physiological response to drought stress among the 13 plants was significant, of which many indicators between the plant with the best drought resistance and the worst one had difference more than one times. After evaluating the comprehensive performance of 13 test plants using fuzzy function, Passiflora edulia Sims, Clerodendrum speciosum, Clerodendrum splendens,Lonicera japonica Thunb., Aristolochia ringens, Tristellateia australasiae A. and Beaumontia grandiflora Wall. were considered to have relatively better drought resistance while also had excellent landscape characters, which were worth to spread in the future.
